【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheproceduretodeterminetheamountofdepositsformedbyautomotiveengineoilsutilizingthethermo-oxidationengineoilsimulationtest(TEOST).Aninterlaboratorystudyhasdeterminedittobeapplicableovertherangefrom10to65mgtotaldeposits.Note1-Operationalexperiencewiththetestmethodhasshownthetestmethodtobeapplicabletoengineoilshavingdepositsovertherangefrom2to180mgtotaldeposits.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
